Hey y'all.
Because I'm bored and I beat Devil May Cry 4, I feel like reviewing it to kinda show how rational I can be about stuff :B
Of course, the PS3 and 360 versions will vary, like the long ass loadin sequence at the very beginning of the PS3 version. I spent the time watching the history of DMC that it shows, since I've never played DMC2 and I cant finish the first DMC cuz of crappy disc >_<. Once i went through the first time it played over, and over, and over; it got to the point where i went downstairs and used the computer to pass the time. Then I went to Penny Arcade and read this

but then I went back upstairs and it was done loading

To start off, the cutscenes were awesome, as always, top notch action and witty comebacks. The tutorial at the beginning with Nero starts out kinda slow, but once you start a boss fight with Dante himself, you know its on. then you start the adventure with Nero. The different variety of enemies keep you on you toes and encourage you to pull off kick ass moves. Speakin of kick ass moves, Nero's demonic arm, the Devil Bringer, brings a new kind of action to the game. You could pick an enemy up and smash it into the ground or grab them, sidewind them, and hurl them at another victim depending on the enemy.
After about 12 missions with Nero, you eventually switch off to our main protagonist, Dante. Now heres where i kinda get nit-picky. For instance it kinda feels unbalanced between Nero and Dante, because Dante only has like 5 missions out of 20. Also its a little confusing getting used to Dante's move again after playing with Nero, but after a while you can remember quick. Dante, unlike Nero, obtains new weapons after beatin a boss such as Gilgamesh, Pandora, and Lucifer (made me laugh btw XD). These devil arms make the game even more exciting by switchin between strategies and kicking even more ass.
There was still another problem I had with the game, although its minor, its the same problem I had with the first game, and that would be the variety of different bosses. To name them, there are Dante, Berial, Bael, Echidna, Dagon (same as Bael) One Winged Dark Knight (Credo), One Eyed Dark Knight (Agnus), Sanctus (His Holiness), and Silver Giga (The Savior). In the game, you have to fight Berial, Bael, and Echidna like three times, not exactly a problem, but I'm just nit-picky like that.
Soundtrack, awesome.
The story itself was great, but for some reason I just thought it could've been done a lil better. I'm not gonna go into it cuz my brain hurts right now >__<, but basically its like the damsel in distress story with Kyrie. But Gloria ...........she may have a hawt body, but in the end there was no point for her to be around.
I'm not gonna go into some number rating system cuz I'm not that criticalo, but in the end, I think the game could've been refined to an even greater state, but even with my minor problems, its still friggin great. I suggest you get it and try it out for yourself and see whether I'm right or not :B
((SPOILER WARINING))

okay, now about the secret ending with Dante, Trish, and Lady about to embark on a new mysterious mission for a customer with a supposed "password", it both got me pumped for a new possible game .........but also pissed me off. I waited forever for this game, NOW THEY'RE GONNA MAKE ME WAIT AGAIN D:<?!
*sigh*
oh well, can't wait to see how they'll try to top this game ^__^
